I have curated information from the State of New Jersey, the CDC, & the American Academy of Pediatrics into the following sections for you- to allow you to apply the scientific method style of thinking to what children B-3 need.
Why Birth – 3?
Birth – Age 3 is the age range in the 1st set of Developmental Standards set out by the State of New Jersey.
We will use this age range to define Stage 1– & the 2nd set of Developmental Standards, defined as Preschool, to refer to children aged 3-5 as Stage 2.
These 2 Stages are intricately linked- & not all children will develop all skills on this “typical” schedule.

All children develop on their own individual timelines.
Use the information & tools curated here at think10fold to keep an eye on your child’s development. This will allow you to have a data base of information and supporting evidence to advocate for any needs they may have. Use the resources accordingly- & never panic– this information is a tool to guide next steps!
Birth – 3 Standards
The above named authorities have given us standards, developmental milestone trackers, & information on how to achieve & support all areas of growth, development & learning for children.
This content is a key element for our who, what, where, when, why & how thought process.
The education sector has been abuzz with talk of standards based planning for years now. The concept- based in the fact that children should fundamentally be achieving a set of behavior goals at certain ages- was laid out by the State of New Jersey in 2013.
